When a guy asks you to come and meet his friends is he interested in you?

Ok so I've known this guy for over a year now. He's super nice and super cute too. We went out once a few months back and have been trying to hang out a few times since then but with our opposite schedules it hasn't worked. We keep in touch with facebook and aim and such but he told me awhile back that he only wanted to be friends. That was awhile back. Then we were all set to hang out again and he calls to say that he's at a friend's apt. and is with the guys and that I should come too for a drink. I said that it was ok that we'd hang out another time. I mean I sort of got blown off but he called me though. Should I have gone? Does he want his friends to meet me and see what type of person I am? I really hope I didn't blow this.

When a guy asks you to come and meet his friends is he interested in you?
doubt it since he told you himself that he just wants to be friends. He probably just wanted a girl to hang around with all his guy friends. Guys tend to like having a female to look at or flirt with/joke with once in awhile. Otherwise it is just a sausage fest and no guys like that.
Reply:Sure you did blow it, if he wants you to meet his friends it means he wants to exhibit his confidence and his intended property. Try again he may be willing to go again. Good luck.

Any tips for adults on how to meet new friends?

I am looking for suggestions on how adults can meet and make new friends. It seems to get more difficult the older my husband and I get to meet new people. We are late 20s-early 30s, one child, %26amp; we do not drink or smoke so bars are out of the question.

Any tips for adults on how to meet new friends?
You can do volunteer work--my sister and her kids volunteer at Ronald McDonald House and have met some nice other volunteers who have the same basic social values. Or you can organize (or get involved in) one of the Habitat for the Humanities house building projects (if they don't have one in your area, make it happen). Volunteer at the SPCA if you've got one of those (and if you like animals). Figure out the things you all like to do (individually and as a family) and focus in on places that will be interesting for you and where other people will have like-interests--it's easier to start a conversation if you are among folks who enjoy the same thing. And make sure you chat a lot, just say to the family standing next to you something like "don't you just LOVE [whatever it is the function is]? We're new to this ..." and just carry on indicating that you'd like to meet more people of similar interest. Eventually, after you meet enough people, you will filter out those that aren't what you feel you'd enjoy hanging with. But you have to put yourselves out there and not just huddle together as a family so no one feels like breaking in. If you have hobbies, look into groups that meet for that. Does you child play sports? Sign him/her up for some sports and make it to the meets so you can meet other parents. If you have a local bookstore that feels good to you, ask one of the storekeepers if they know of a book club (if you're into that) you could join and if there is not one, maybe you could ask if you could start one and post a note in the store. Start a walking group (small gang who goes out walking for exercise and fun)--can be just in the major mall (walking is sweeter with company). Or a movie discussion group (like a book club but using movies instead as the focus of teh discussion). It's getting near election time so you could volunteer to sign up voters in your area (you'd get to know your neighbors) or work for your favorite politician. Get involved at your child's school--some schools need parent volunteers (both parents) and you'd get a good idea of what is going on in the school (you could then be the one to organize bake sales, book drives and school dances). One of my local churches offers square and folk dancing once a week and you don't have to be a member of the church or even believe in religion. The local museums have lecture nights on various subjects. There are docet tours of some of the local attractions (you might want to do that) or conduct a walking tour of your local attractions. See what your community has to offer. Or make your own offerings and invite the world to join in. But you have to make it all happen for yourselves.
Reply:You guys sound awesome. To meet others who take care of themselves too try joining a local gym club. Both of you will have a chance to meet others and then each of you can introduce their spouses to yours.

Also as your child grows up and goes to preschool, then you will meet a TON of other parents, but until the school parent meetings get going the gym is a great place. It aslo has a great side effect of getting in shape. BTW most also have a baby sitting area so your baby can play as you get fit and make new friends.

Good luck ;o)

BF wont do things with me or meet my friends/family?

Been knowing my BF for 2 years; officially been together for 6 months. I've asked him to go to BBQ, party, birtyday party, etc with me millions of times. He has truned me down EVERY SINGLE TIME. all of my friends and family know that I'm in a relationship, but they never get to see him. He's only met some ppl by accident. either he was at my place when they came, or he had to pick me up from somewhere and they were there. Even then, he's very distant and will say hi and rush me to leave. He says that he feels like I try to "show him off" but that is not the case. I just simply get tired of attending things and im the only person there without my bf. everyone always asks abt him. he just simply does not like to meet people and says that its not fun being in crowds. But he's fine being in crowds that he knows. when we go to his family's house, i do not sit in the car, i come inside. him on the other hand does not. What do i do? i'm tired of arguing abt this every other week!

BF wont do things with me or meet my friends/family?
He doesnt want to meet anyone, obvious he is only interested in you and getting in your pants. You obviously dont mean enough to him that he feels you are worth getting to know and that includes your family. Girl do better please and have respect for your self he obviously doesnt respect you enough to think you are all worth it.
Reply:strange...2 yrs and u still put up with that girl get a boyfriend!
Reply:u shuld not attend anymor of his invitations no mor untill he attends one of urs then hell feel da same thing u felt
Reply:He is doing two things in this behavior. One he is keeping you at a distance. If you start doing couples things, you will try to push the relationship to a spot he doesn't want it to go. This way he can string you along for much longer getting what he wants without giving what he doesn't want to. Second, it allows him to keep his options open. He wants to play the field, or at least have that option. If you two are a full blown couple he can't do that.

Two years? Wow he can give lessons...
Reply:Well, obviuosly you are either...fat, ugly boring, useless at sex or a freak.,.........or all of the these.....judging by you question....boring......whining...I would take a guess and ay FAT .......and bet my farm you have never had A.....whatever.....stay with him.YOU WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER
Reply:This is an easy one, dump him. If he cares so little about what you want, and only does what he wants (don't buy whatever line he gives you), then you don't need it. There is a whole world out there, why are you limiting yourself?... no reason to waste your time with this joker any longer. Move on! You deserve better, and this relationship obviously isn't how you want to live you life... he will not change, you can't change him, move ahead with your life. You don't need the hassle, life is short.
Reply:Sweetie, if you've been with him for 2 years and he still refuses to do things with your family and friends, you seriously need to think about giving him his walking papers.

Truthfully, the fact that he shows no interest in developing relationships with your family and friends indicates that he probably doesn't view your relationship as long-term, but rather just something that is convenient for him.

Given that he hasn't changed in 2 years, he probably won't change anyway, but if you don't show that you're willing to walk away over this issue, then it definitely won't change.

Personally I'd say you probably need to end the relationship in any case. He sounds like an extremely selfish person, and that is unlikely to change given that it's been 2 years already.
Reply:He has something to hide and it's not shyness no one is that shy.

If he won't play the game then dump him. He should at least met your friends at least once.

I still think he has somehing to hide a criminal history perhaps.

How do I get my boyfriend to let me meet his friends?

We go to different schools so i've never met his friends and i suggest him to meet my friends but he never seems to want me to meet his...

what should i do?

How do I get my boyfriend to let me meet his friends?
Give him time..he'll let you meet his friends when he's ready for you to meet them
Reply:Honestly, it's cus he doesn't have any...
Reply:find out why? thats kinda odd he should be excited to show you off to his friends
Reply:find out when hes hanging out with his buds (football or somethin) and pop in. and there u hve it.
Reply:talk to him because he may have another girlfriend. I'm not saying that he's that kind of guy, but most guys reach a point where they feel comfortable enough to let you meet their friends. If you've been dating for a while and he still hasn't let you meet them, then he may be hiding something. He might not want them to meet you because he's afraid they won't like you or something. He may have another girl he's not telling you about and his friends might give it away....anywayss..ask him about it and if he knows you're really bothered by it he should give you a reasonable answer.
Reply:Ask him why?

Plan a day where its your friends and his; going out to hang out

Tell him why you want to meet them(like you want to know the people he hangs around with or something)

Tell him how you feel about this situation

GOOD LUCK!

Where would you like to meet new friends?

Strange question, I know. Just curious. Would you rather meet someone walking down the street, in the store or in a club? May casually through friends or even online? I personally hate the club scenes. Whats your opinion?

Where would you like to meet new friends?
Personally, I wouldn't care where-because you never who or what good thing might come your way because of that individual. But, over all I like making friends through friends.

My gf and i meet only once a weeks, four time a month, why she can meet her friends everyday Y not me ?
I'm sure she likes you, but she is choosing to take it slow and also have a life outside of dating you. Don't push for too much more too fast, why not ask for two days a week twice a month...then after a while up it again...
Reply:I don't know about your gf. But when I love my bf so much, I wish I could see him everyday, every minute.
Reply:How long have you guys been gonig out?

If you guys have different friends, maybe she wants to keep her friends just in case you guys break up, she won't be stuck with no friends.
