Hard to meet friends?

i'm taking an extra year in high school due to slacking last year. it's quite lonely and most of the friends are gone.. they went to other high schools for an extra year and some at uni/college. it's hard to meet people.. by the way i'm 18. it's depressing and i feel so... :( i've been home a lot of the past few months and i'm losing confidence in myself. help? :(

Try hooking up with some of your old friends. Even if they have moved away, going to see them on the weekends might be fun for ya. It will give you something to look forward to through the week and plus you might be surprised at who else you can meet and make friends with while you are visiting with them. good luck

Reply:How about taking night school, where there would be other adults taking the same courses, and get yourself a part-time day job. This way, you are with people more your own age, and there are no established cliques. Plus you will be making some money and putting experience on your resume





It is understandable that the students don't really care about you, they are planning graduating with their friends and moving on. They are thinking you should have moved on last year.
