How to meet friends???

So i go to a really big school. When i first went there i knew NOBODY! and now i know a few kids but no one that I would hang out with and just have a blast. I met some kewl girls i hung out with for a month or so, then they had a whole bunch of problems and stopped talking to me and stuff, when they were the ones to first ask me if i wanted to hang out with them.

So I dont know how to meet new people or find anyone to connect with! the school is just so big. At lunch I usually go to the library and just work on my homework but it just gets boring after a while. Have any suggestions how to meet so good solid friends?

Its frustrating because Im a really nice person and everyone is just rude to me. I cant go to the library anymore for varius reasons so I just go out front like if i was getting picked up or something cuz i dont want to just go sit on a bench by myself.

awwwwww help me?

How to meet friends???
I understand you. I had even have the same problem. I moved to U.S.A when I was 13 years old and I didn't know English. So I didn't had friends so hang out with black people. And it wasn't so easy. I siting all alone during lunch. But I found two girls the were sisters and they were from Russia too so I just started hung out with them. When I went to school this year I didn't had someone to sit with. I was olmost crying. I am seing you should go to the person who sits all alon and start talking with him or her. I know it's really hard, because I went through the same thing. I just want to help you. I hope you try it.

Bye
Reply:I see. I know how ya feel because I go thru the same thing day after day. So then when I was in 3rd grade, my friends (they were 5th graders) mentioned they went to sleepaway camp each year and had a blast. So their mom asked if I wanted to go too, (she would talk to my dad) and I was like "Nah, I can't do that!" So the next year, I felt I needed more friends because I was so lonely. I remembered my friend's advice for me to go to Camp NaShoPa. And I went and made tons of friends! We now talk each day. So go to summer camp, meet friends, and write them or call them when you feel lonely. I go to camp every year now!

Good luck! Hope this helps!
Reply:try joining a club that always helps, you could talk to people that have the same intrests as you their
Reply:people would realize that you r a gud person and juss want to hang out with u cuss of how u act and how u r round people, I know I would. I up for meeting people all the time
Reply:get involved in extracurricluar activities--thats hwo i met sooooooo many of my best friends. good luck! adn if you need a frind to talk to , im here :]
Reply:Find an xtracurricular activity that you really like so you can join and participate in after school... for example a sport you like, the yearbook club, ROTC, dance clubs or any other clubs that the school may ahve. I'm sure there is at least one that you would be interested in. Once you do that you will meet people that like things ur interested in also.

Always smile and speak to people.
Reply:well to meet friends act like yourself. dont try to be someone or something your not. I go to a small school which I have been going all of my life. (its a k-12 school.) so i have never had this experience but i have had plenty of friends who moved, so they filled me in on how to meet friends. try to talk to people, stay away from the druggies, and smokers. x( they are bad people.

if you do sports try to make friends that way, or make friends with a neighbor. dont go desperate crazy for a friend because then people will not think that you would make good friend material. also girl friends are a good thing to have, but boy friends are good to have as well, they gossip less and they can totally can keep a secret. I hope this info helps.....*and good luck ;-)*
Reply:When I was in school I hated it. High school is an awkward time and I could not wait for it to end. I guess you could just start talking to people in PE or what ever. I had friends but could not wait to get out of school. Maybe develop a hobby and find others that like doing that sort of thing also. Email me if you want.
