Where can I meet friends and how do I make friends with them?

I only work and go home at 8:30 every night and watch the tube. I am just a normal 19 year old without friends. I want friends to go out with and have fun. I mean friends who are Girls. I dont want to say that I dont have time for friends because that's not it. I just am too tired when I get home from work (10 hours daily). My boyfriend thinks I have no reason not to have friends. True! I just dont know where to meet people at, because all I see at work is Mexican guys (I work in a Latin grocery store). I need friends who are girls!!! Thank you for any answers! :)

Where can I meet friends and how do I make friends with them?
Volunteer 2-3 hours on the weekend as a candy striper at a hospital, or join an organziation popular with college kids. Even if you don't attend college, you could probably get a list of orgs the college kids participate in. You'd be doing something fulfilling, and hopefully fun too with people your own age. Friendships grow from stuff like that.

Reply:It's hard to do things when you're tired a lot. Maybe you could try to become friends with your coworkers, become friends with your boyfriend's friends, or join a club.





Some clubs only meet one day per month, maybe you could join one of those? (like a book club or something.)





Or you could go to the mall? Lots of young people hang out at the mall, and they're usually open till like 11pm.

Reply:i would find another job..lol..just go out and be urs4elf, u should be able to meet pple anywere...look at the golden girls. they all met at the grocery store and became roomates and best friends... its easy to meet people..just go have fun
Reply:A stranger is just a fiend you haven't met yet. Be careful of some people though. You will learn what types of people as you experience more of life. 95% of all people are ok I think, 4% annoying or angry, 1% really evil.

Reply:Work place is one of the best palces of making friends. As that option is closed, you should consider going to school.

Reply:The best way to make a new friend is to communicate. Observe them for a little, find common ground, and go "I see you like (whatever), too."





My newest friend and I met each other in the lobby of our dorm. After ten, when our roommates went to bed, we'd go to the lobby to talk on the phone with our boyfriends - I'd be seating on the heater and she'd be walking around. When we saw each other with the phone stuck the sides of our faces we would boost out laughing, ask how we were, ask how our boyfriends were and now we're always in the cafe eating dinner together. Can't eat breakfast because she is not a morning person. Can't eat lunch together because of class schedule.
Reply:Are you and your bf serious? It can be hard to make friends while in a serious relationship but it's possible. Just be friendly in random public places, I make friends everywhere I go because I do this. Even if nothing comes of it you'll make their day. Go on a walk and meet other women in your neighborhood that way you already have something in common.

Reply:There are lots of places you can meet "girl" friends. The nail salon, hair salon, exercise classes, yoga classes, on-line. It sounds like you really need to make some time for yourself.
