How can i meet girl friends i have moved to another country and I miss having girl mates!! any ideas pls help?

Ok I have moved to NewZealand (Wellington) from Australia to be with my boy friend, I had lots of friends back home and was really happy, I have made atleast one good friend over here but how can I meet more people so I am not so clingy to my boyfriend I need to change and i want to be happier, I want to be like I was when I was back home but instead having my boyfriend also.. How can a 19 year old girl meet friends.. My boyfriend has all his uni mates and I work but I am the youngest in my job everyone is mid 20's or older so I am not close with anyone.. I don’t know how to meet girls that are 19 when im not in a school invironment like uni?? Any ideas?? I feel so alone with out having the girls to hang out with and to talk to :(

You could also try searching Yahoo Groups for groups in your area maybe with similar interests. Join the group and meet new friends ;-)

Reply:well, you have to put yourself in a situation to meet girls of the same age. you're not going to meet those people if you don't go where they are.
Reply:I think that you should just start talking to somebody that you find interesting. Like if your in a store or something and your in line just start talking. People make friends that way all the time.
