How and Where to meet friends in college?

I am going to college this year, and I am so stressed out about my social situation in college. I am a very shy person, but I do talk to interesting people. How and Where do I make friends in colllege? Please be specific.

How and Where to meet friends in college?
Where ever you go, there will be college kids around you. Some at the library, some at the dorms, some at the dining area, some just around campus...most Freshmen have a course of indoctrination that they must go through with other freshmen. There is another way to meet people.
