Meet pen friends?

I need help, do you think it is suitable/good/sensible to meet a net friend i have known for 4 years?


i live in hong kong, in china ( in case u dont know) and she/he lives in USA. she/he is at least 10 years older than me.


I am kinda scared of this idea, its like, sth really weird?

You've known each other for four years? Sounds like a safe enough choice to meet however, bring someone along like a trusted friend or if you can't, make sure everyone knows what you're doing and where you're going to be.





Make sure they know who this person from the USA looks like. Give them his/her phone number and also, keep your phone handy...these are just precautions....

Reply:My question is: how old are you? Later in life, 10 years isn't such a big difference... but if you are quite young... my inner alarm is going off. If you decide to meet, please do it publicly and tell your friends and family you plan to do so. Be cautious, and take care of yourself.
Reply:Since you're 19, it's not like you would be sneaking off to catch a plane or anything. There's nothing wrong with meeting someone you've had contact with for 4 years. Just let everyone know where you're going and a number, and who you're meeting. If you can, take a friend with you. You can never be too careful!
