Where are all the ambitious people hiding? Most people I know are too complacent with their lives and are too afraid and/or comfortable to go out on a limb once in a while. I have several business ideas that I would like to try, but i don't have all the resources to do it on my own. It would be nice to find people with whom I could share some ideas. I know that it is important to surround oneself with the right people in order to be successful, however most of my friends are lazy and lack the drive to follow through on anything. Are there any places, organizations, etc where I can network and make friends who are as ambitious as I am?

well it would be good to get a job commensurate with your abilites. there you would meet people at your level. or take honors classes in college (if you are that age) etc. work or school is your best bet for getting in a situation with others that are ambitious. worked for me and it worked for my daughter. she works in washington DC for a member of congress and i think she finally feels she is among peers. another thing is work downtown in a big city. or in washington DC, where ambitous people concentrate. Get into a PhD program - ambitious people are there, too.

It is basically a "mySpace" for business, but really focuses on connecting professionals with other people in your area or in industries you sell to.
