We have been dating for about 9 months but she's only been my girlfriend for about 3 months. She is 29 and I am 36. How long do you think it should be before she lets me meet some of her friends? I asked her about it about 4 months ago and she said that she wasn't ready for that yet. I am going to ask her again soon, but I was wondering what most people think is average.

First of all, have you introduced her to your friends? I think if you want to meet her friends, you should let her meet yours first. to be fair. If you've known her for 9 months, you should already be meeting her friends by now. I don't know with other people, but I would definitely introduce a guy to my friends right away if I really like him.
Reply:Couple of questions: Is this a long distance thing(either for the two of you or for her and her friends? Does she have close friends or just random people she hangs out with? Has she met any of your friends.
I like for my friends to meet a guy im serious about within a month of making the decision that I'm serious (maybe three if it is long distance) They play a vital roll in me decieding wether he is important to me. A real relationship includes balancing that person with the rest of your life.
I would be worried that you haven't met them. Either she is ashamed of you or she has had problems with other boyfriends and her friends or you aren't that important to you. All of which are bad signs. I would ask her very soon and if she gives you another no answer I would ask for an explination.
Reply:i guess she was waiting to see if the relationship was going anywhere... i wouldnt want them to meet my friends either until i was certain.
