Have you had a chance to meet to meet online friends in person? How did it go?

I just came back from Y!Answers First Birthday Party where I got to meet a lot of my online friends and Y!Answers staff. It was such a wonderful and heartwarming experience, I was curious what experiences others have had in this area.





Did it seem strange when you met them? Have you kept in touch since you met?

Have you had a chance to meet to meet online friends in person? How did it go?
I met 3 friends. It was nothing to do with dating or sex. We were just good friends from a forum and had known each other for a year before we finally met. It was fun just like online. Had a good laugh. Yes, we still stay in touch and have a good time.





But in gerneral, for people who want to meet 'strangers/people' from internet, do meet only in public places. And be careful.

Reply:Guy # 1 - "Forgot" His wallet, and took $20.00 from me to buy us coffee. He came back and said he was going to keep my change, so he would remember to pay me back. (Eventually one day he did) Then a month later I met him again for the second time, he tells me he is in love with me, and tells me I can use him to get over my ex. PSHYCO!





Guy # 2 - Stared at my boobs the whole time during dinner and made lame jokes.





Guy # 3 - Looked like a monkey, although nice but boring.

Reply:I've meet a few people on line some I still keep in touch with, most I don't. I did meet one of my best friend on the Internet, and we still keep in touch even though we live four states away from each other.
Reply:if the friends are good then you will have heartwarming experience. but if there are some people who are the worst people so be careful with those friends.
