I would like to meet new friends that are married in Australia?

....I live in Melbourne and would like to meet married couples ONLY FOR SOCIALISING - I have a child and it would be good to have friends to have around. It seems like when you get married yourself everyone just slips away and you realise it's just yourself and husband, we need to expand our circle of friends whats the best way to do this? - I don't like using the internet because you can get all sorts!!! just wanting some normal people to socialise with

i think you can socialize with your neighbourhood.. or maybe by joining some social organization or church can help you with these..
Reply:I am not married yet, and I live in Sydney but I just found out I have a baby, so I'll prob be getting married soon. If ya want we can try to become friends.
Reply:You can join a church usually the older ones such as Uniting or Baptist or Catholic or you can ask your Council of groups in your area. There are young Motheres Groups there are Local Neighbourhood Houses you could run an ad in your local free paper and start a your age group of people you would be surprised how many who are in the same boat especally those in newer housing estates without ordinary infastructure for families.You could find some volunteering and meet others who do the same good luck
