I'm in a busy job, and my family lives elsewhere. Everyone at work has a partner to go home to (I don't) or never feels like going anywhere. But, I don't have a lot of time outside work to do volunteer work or play sport to meet new people. I even work weekends alot. Any ideas for a single girl to make new friends?
Where to meet new friends other than at work?
I'm in the same situation, except that I also go to school so I can meet people there.
What about the gym? I'm not talking about just going to work out solo, although you may meet people doing that, but perhaps joining an exercise class.
Other ideas:
dog park
sierra club
book clubs
wine clubs, etc. etc.
It is tough when you spend so much time working.
Reply:Sounds like you need to slow down your work schedule. You never know when or where you might meet that special someone. Try the church, supermarket,or the library. If you have vacation time, go on a singles cruise. Stop being so anxious. When it's time, the right person will turn up!

Reply:the gym, library, coffee shop, stores, anywhere isa good place to meet people, have courage, notice something u two might have in common, (sounds stalkerish, but it really isnt) and just strike up a convo. its pretty ez XD
