Meet new friends at new school?

how to you meet new friends at new school and dont say be yourself because wat if you hate the person u are because u are shy and not smart

Meet new friends at new school?
Well first off, don't think about yourself like that. You are bringing your self-esteem DOWN and that way you are not communicating with anyone. Try to talk to people you sit next to in class and talk about hobbies interests or what your old school was like, then sit next to them at lunch and be nice don't be cocky and ****. Say hi to people often and make conversation...don't wait. I hate to say this but BE YOURSELF! Good Luck.
Reply:examine a few people in the hallways...but don't make it obvious cause then they will think ur stalking them. See what type of people they are and if you think it is someone you might want to be friends with go and start a conversation. or in homeroom talk to someone who seems like they have the same hobbies and interests as you. You could also go up to another person who is shy and doesn't have a lot of friends and ask to sit with them at lunch or just start talking to them...but don't scare them.
Reply:People that are not smart don't usually know that they're not smart, so I don't believe you. I have more faith in you than you do, and I don't even know you. I'm sure you're only shy around new people but that doesn't mean you can't make new friends. Join clubs, get involved, take a public speech class if your school offers one. Or maybe a drama class to help take the edge off your timidness - I did in high school and I got over my fears of myself being awkward. And maybe you don't think you're smart because you don't do well on tests, or because someone has made you feel that way, but don't believe it - Have faith in yourself.
Reply:You're not going to get friends by being someone your not. There's shy people out there that DO have friends. So.. I hate to tell you but.. be yourself.
