I just lost a "close friend" recently and now i have no one to be close to. Sure i have the occasional friends i can call for a few minutes every now and then but i need someone to be close to, who i can call everyday if i need to really get something off my chest.And i usually need to.Can anyone help me out with ideas on how to meet people with the same issue, they don't necessarily have to live near me as long as they live in the areas i can call to.

The only way to make a close friend, is to meet someone, and form a bond with them. There are several ways to meet new friends...
The tried and true method that has been working since the beginning of time is getting a hobby! If you like dancing, take a dance class...If you like painting, take an Art class...If money is an issue, you can volunteer for causes you believe in or join a club at school (if this applies to you).
The internet is also a popular way to meet people...Places like MySpace and Craig's List are a good way to find people with similar interests. Join a MySPace group on a topic that interests you, and see what happens!
